now THIS is a cool engineer

Well, I was supposed to be on vacation today. Scheduled it at the first of the week. Was planning to be up fairly early and out at the Creek working on trails. However, I had to come in to fill out some analysis of my “professional improvement.” It’s not my boss’ fault or even his boss. It’s some corporate douchebag who thinks this is some asskisser's wonderful idea. Now I know some people really get off on having a career. I feel sorry for those folks. I don’t consider my job a career. I consider it a fucking job. I do engineer work (which I enjoy), I get paid, and I use that cash to support my family just like any self respecting ditch digger. Let’s all get over our fucking selves with the “personal improvement plan.” It’s getting in the way of my shit.
