CKDC Standards of Competition #1

Less than a week until Round 1 of the 2012 Chiva Knievel Dirtbike Championship. The CKDC board is not a big fan of rules. However, there are certain “standards” that we adhere to. …and no, this is not an exercise in semantics. You break a "rule" in most race series and you receive a predetermined consequence. When you stray from the “standards” in the CKDC we all determine how much of an asshole you are and then make up a consequence right there on the spot. We may just make fun of you, you may be required to embarrass yourself, or we may have your wives/girlfriends compete in a Corndog Tractor Pull to determine who wins. That is for the board to decide and for you to take like a man.

I’ll be introducing the CKDC Standards through a series of posts this week.

#1: No fancy race clothes. You may wear all of the safety equipment that you want (helmets, boots, knee pads, neck protection, condoms, etc..) but modern race pants and jerseys are not CKDC approved. Jeans, t-shirts, overalls, and coveralls are the norm. Costumes are always held in high regard.
