BATTLE: 450 A - Hog Heaven Pro Shootout (MXPTV)
Who says that a good mx track needs elevation change and/or giant jumps? This place looks awesome. Makes me wanna ride. Bitchin' race and dug seeing Marshall out there on the 250SX.

JDay Off-Road Rd. 14 Mohawk
Yet another great, old-fashioned, dirt bike race from the guys at J-Day.
The two-stroke market is obviously alive and well in that part of the country.
Far out.

Martyn Ashton - Road Bike Party - WARNING: That gay ass title is not indicitive of the badassness within.
Ok, I really didn't want to like this video. At the very least I wanted to make fun of the guy for wearing nut huggers. ..but holy shit. This is too awesome to crack jokes at. Homeslice is cooler than the other side of your pillow. Check it.
..just don't go out in public looking like this unless you are getting paid to. What the fuck?

ISDE stylecheck vs. MXdN
Been checking out the ISDE leading up to the MXdN. Can’t help but dig the original “skunkhead” helmets. I remember when the des Nations guys used to run the same. At one time Troy Lee would do the whole team’s helmets, maybe trick ‘em out a little, but still stay true to the basic skunkhead theme. Now Team USA’s lids don’t even look similar. I think it was cooler when they did. Those assholes on Jersey Shore would think Barcia's lid was gaudy.
2012 ISDE team helmets: Tradition is cool.
2012 MXdN team helmet: Fuck tradition. Let's see how much shit can we throw on there.

Get In The Mix With the Rd. 12 Jday Monson Memorial
Check out homeslice on the '90 CR125 almost nailing the holey. These J-Day guys have the right idea for all around dirt bike racing. Good times.

1981 Luxembourg 500cc Motocross GP(sample)
These days the motocross crowd would say this isn't motocross because it isn't prepped and there aren't enough jumps. The cross-country crowd would say that it's too fast and too wide. I say this is PERFECT dirt bike racing. When I first started riding my friend had a bunch of land and I remember laying out tracks just like this. We need more of this today! This looks fun!

2012 Vets MXDN Movie - "The Battle of the Nations"
Out of all the new videos with big jumps THIS makes me want to ride more than anything. I started racing in 1987 when there weren’t triples on our local tracks and everyone looked up to the 500 class. I’ve gotta get one again some day and recreate some of these sections at Chicken Creek.

I'2012 NEPG Round 8 - The Lead Belt
I've never been interested in racing an enduro because I thought it was all about guys crawling around in first gear pretending that race bikes are trials bikes while they run their visors too low and use the last remaining Roko QuikStraps for their goggles. ...sumBITCH this looks like a good time. Looks like a good ol' fashioned dirtbike race! Count me in!!!

The Marshalls ...again
Yeah, I realize I've posted this before. Just came across it again and it's as cool now as when I first saw it. Makes me wanna ride dirt bikes.

dirtbikin'
Damn this place looks cool. I'm sure this is where we could get into the debate as to whether it's a track or trails but frankly that discussion bores the shit out of me. What I do know is that it looks like a bitchin place to ride your dirtbike, and dirtbikes are what I like.

Sunday Morning Service
Alright, my apology for lack of updates. I'm sure nobody noticed. The last round of the CKDC was quite possibly the biggest and most fun ever. I'll try to get back to normal update mode and make sure that pics and somewhat of a race report are on the way. Until then, you asshats get off the computer and go ride.

Who's poor?
That's right. Just like the absolute greatest rock-n-roll band in the world, the Supersuckers, says, "poor" doesn't matter. So long as you've got dirt bikes and good friends it's gonna be alright. Looking forwad to seeing you fuckers Saturday night.

CKDC Standards of Competition #4

Got yer blue flag right here.
CKDC tracks are, for the most part, short so that lappers are encountered quickly. This way everyone gets to race. There is NO BLUE FLAG mentality for lapped racers. Every pass you make is earned. My 100 doesn't have mirrors and I was taught to never look back. I have no idea who is trying to pass me and I'm in a race. Find your way around, Speedy.

CKDC Standards of Competition #3

Don't get too wound up about the notches in your belt.
...or in more precise words, don't get all butthurt about how many wins you accumulate. They may be wiped away before you know it. A good friend once told me "Fightin' ain't about winning. Fightin' is just about fightin'." This series is about the race, not the finish. Sure, we're keeping points and making a series out of it. However, as was stated before, the goal of the CKDC is not to see which grown up is fastest on a cheap kid's bike. The goal is simply to have a good time. Throughout the series there will be extra point events, inverted starts/finishes, etc... Hell, if you get second overall and your girl is willing to flash her tits, you just might move to the top of the podium. That's the way life should work, and that's the way the Chiva Knievel Dirtbike Championship will work.
